Frequently Asked Questions

Do our doctors accept new patients?

Renee Lefland, M.D., P.C. accepts new patients over the age of 18. We ask that you check with your insurance carrier to make sure the doctor you would like to see is covered by your plan.

When am I going to get the results from my blood tests?

Your laboratory results should be available between 3 and 5 days after your visit. Your doctor will get in touch with you. If you had a PT/ INR, our office will contact you that day or the next with your Coumadin instructions.

When do the doctors make their return phone calls?

The physicians try to make calls throughout the day in between seeing patients and after patient hours.

Why do I have to pay a co-pay when I visit my doctor?

Your insurance company policy requires you to pay the co-pay and the doctor’s contract with your insurance company requires your physician to collect a co-pay as part of the fee, just as Medicare requires a deductible to be collected at the beginning of every year.

If I go to the hospital, will my doctor see me there?

If you are admitted to the hospital, you will be seen and evaluated daily by our hospitalist. All hospital patients are reviewed by the entire medical staff on a daily basis.
